7Energy points

The chakras are seven energy centres located within our energy system. They collect and direct energy. Chakra balancing works to identify chakras that are out of balance and to re-establish balance.

Chakras are energy bands surrounding the body governing cell energy transfers. Energy moves in and out of circular openings located in our bodies.

If you are unbalanced, your chakras can cause failure. If we are overloaded, our bodies become out of alignments and balance affecting the experience of harmony and connectedness with our self, our environment and our body, mind and spirit. The chakras can be under utilized or overloaded depending on our current emotional physical intellectual and spiritual state of being.

Each chakra needs to be able to function at the correct frequency independently. Each needs to be balanced, clear, energized, and properly spinning. Each time all the chakras reach a level of unison the entire physical vibration of the human body is raised.

When your chakras are not vibrating or spinning properly, each needs to be balanced, clear and energized. Each chakra affects different parts of the body. We are too often stuck in the reality and physicality of life to listen to our inner selves.

When your chakras are blocked you slow down the Chi, the life force, and the spiritual connection. You may feel depressed, out of touch, tired, unable to think clearly, or listless. You may get angry for no reason, be afraid, be unsure of yourself, lack self-confidence, be unhappy without a direct reason, and have a general negative outlook on life. All of these are indications that you have a problem to resolve that is chakra based.

It is important that you try to maintain the correct energy flow through each chakra since you could also negatively be affected by a chakra being too open.

Chakra system

Sit, or lie down, clear you mind. Focus on your in your feet. Use your hands to pull energy up from your feet, through your legs, to the base chakra. Imagine you are gripping energy and pulling it up through you, pulling air and energy into your lungs. Try and imagine your hands are inside your legs and just inside the front of you as you do this.

Draw energy up through you, with the inhale, and hold it in place on the exhale. Do this over and over again, pulling energy to the Base chakra, for few minutes. You may or may not feel anything. Even if you don't, you are still drawing up some energy with this exercise. The amount of energy drawn up through you will increase as the chakra develops.

From the feet, up the legs to the base centre, is a natural path for the energy that flows through you. This energy will stimulate your chakras and they will transform this, basic energy, into energy of a different type. This transformed energy will then flow into your subtle bodies, energising them. With practise, you will actually feel this energy tingling and surging through you.

Chakras are non-physical centres, so you need a non-physical method to stimulate them. Focusing your awareness in the area of a chakra and using your mind to manipulate it achieve this. By moving your point of awareness to the site of a chakra and causing a mental opening effect with your hands, you are directly stimulating the chakra.

The sensations you will feel in your chakras can vary, according to the degree of activity occurring in them. It can vary from gentle warmth, a localised pressure, a tingling, a gentle pulsing, to a heavier throbbing, or a combination of some or all of the above. The heavier the sensations, the more active the chakra. If you place your hand on a chakra, when it is active, you will feel the flesh pulsing. Some of the chakras, when active, can cause other localised sensations:

Base chakra, you may feel a very slight burning or tingling, or a cramping. Once it is working properly, you will feel a gentle pulsing or throbbing between your legs, at the site of the chakra.

Solar Plexus Chakra this can sometimes cause a shortness of breath feeling, this will pass as the chakra stabilises.

The heart chakra next, with each new breath move your awareness up to the next chakra

Throat Chakra: The throbbing in it can cause a very mild choking feeling, because of the sensitive area it is in or the sensation of a lump in the base of your throat.

Crown Chakra: When fully active it feels like a thousand soft, warm fingers gently massaging the inside of the top of your head, above the hairline, and extending down in the centre of the forehead, to include the brow chakra, which is part of it. You may feel a stronger sensation in some chakras and little or none in others. Concentrate on the lowest ones with the least sensation. This will help balance the energy flow in the chakra system.

Chakra balancing helps to restore inner calm and balance, while energising and connecting yourself with your self
